Teaser for Beyoncé documentary surfaces

Back in November, HBO confirmed that international superstar Beyoncé was set to star in and direct a documentary on her own life.

Speaking about the exciting project, a spokesperson for the company recently explained that it "sheds light on her childhood in Houston, with home movies revealing the close bond she built with her family and charts the challenges Beyoncé felt when she decided to manage her career and build her own company, Parkwood Entertainment."

This new teaser trailer for the documentary begins with Beyoncé looking directly into the camera and she says, "I always battle with how much I reveal about myself."

At only 25 seconds long, the clip doesn't give much away but it shows footage from her childhood, her pregnancy, live shows and her private life.

The documentary is set to air on February 16, 2013 via HBO.

The global superstar celebrated her 31st Birthday on a luxury yacht with husband Jay Z and their baby daughter Blue Ivy, in September. The A-list family are known for keeping their personal life private, and few photos were taken at the time. However, the Single Ladies singer has this week posted some family pictures of her September vacation up.

The pictures see Beyoncé wearing a nautical jumper on-board the yacht, with the initial 'J' embossed on the front. Another shot shows the star cutting her Birthday cake, the icing reads 'Happy Birthday Beyoncé, Love Blue & Jay'. The final picture features the singer in a bikini, posing on the deck of her yacht.

Beyoncé is expected to make a comeback at the Superbowl in February, having taken a year out following the birth of Blue Ivy Carter.

Beyoncé wore flea market sneakers when she first appeared in Destiny's Child promos, as she wasn't allowed expensive attire.

The international superstar is now one of the biggest singers in the business, but her younger sister Solange insists Beyoncé wasn't always so privileged.

Fellow songstress Solange has teasingly revealed how the siblings were normally clad in cheaper versions of clothes they adored.

She told the Guardian newspaper: "My sister and I were not allowed expensive clothes. We so badly wanted these Fila sneakers as kids but my mother took us down to the flea market and got imitation ones.

She added: "Look at the early Destiny's Child videos, you'll see!"

Solange also revealed what it's like to be the younger sister of one of music's finest acts.

She said: "She's a beautiful person to be compared to... actually [my music] is a whole different sound."

International superstar Beyoncé has hinted that she will be performing at the famed Super Bowl half time show next year.

Reports surfaced earlier today (October 16) that suggested the 'Halo' sensation had been scheduled as the main performer for the event, which in the past has seen much talked about live sets from the likes of Madonna and the Black Eyed Peas, but she posted a photo to her official Tumblr page this afternoon that self-confirmed the exciting news.

In the picture (shown below), Beyoncé can be seen with strips of facepaint on either cheek and on them are the words "Feb 3 2013", which is the date that the Super Bowl will take place next year in New Orleans.

This will be her second appearance at the world-renowned sporting event as back in 2004 she sang the American national anthem although she has not yet been the musical guest.

The superstar singer gave birth to her first child Blue Ivy Carter in January this year and it seems the internet is spreading speculation that another baby could be on the way.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, however, Beyoncé's mum Tina Knowles said that whilst a second child is more than likely to be on the cards, it won't be happening any time soon. She said:

"It's gonna happen when it's time, but not right now."

Knowles meanwhile seemingly isn't doing much to help calm the baby conveyor belt, with the new grandmother more than keen for her daughter to reproduce once more. When asked if she wants another grandchild, Tina Knowles said:

"Of course I do! I harass her all the time."

Vocal sensation Beyoncé has opened up about her role as a mother in a brand new interview with Anderson Cooper.

Speaking to the chat show host today (September 10), the 'Halo' superstar explained that she shares parental duties such as feeding and changing diapers with her husband, Jay-Z, because they both love the responsibility:

"Actually, he's very good. We both do [it]. I love changing diapers, I love it. I love every moment of it. It's so beautiful. I really do. I love changing diapers - I love it all."

She also joked about how she sings nursery rhymes to her daughter, Blue Ivy, and added that sometimes she performs her own songs and confuses the baby: "Today was the first time [Blue Ivy] saw me performing in rehearsal - she was very confused."

"I make up actually a lot of crazy, corny songs. [But] I'm not singing it. Unless you do 'Single Ladies'!"

The songstress even admitted that having a baby gave her a distinct sense of purpose, adding: "It just gives you purpose and all of the things that my self-esteem was associated with — it’s all completely different."

"I realized why I was born and more than anything all of the things I want to pass onto my child and the best way of doing that is not by preaching or telling her but showing her by example which is one of the reasons I’m here.”

The R&B superstar, who last week called for kindness in a new video promoting the cause, took to the floor of the U.N. General Assembly to sing a rendition of power ballad, ‘I Am Here,’ a clip of which will be uploaded on her official website on August 19.

After belting out the track from her recent ‘4’ album, the 30-year-old went on to make a brief speech which referenced the 2003 Iraq terror attack that inspired the UN to set up World Humanitarian Day:

"I'd like to ask everyone to make sure they're a part of August 19th. It's such a beautiful, beautiful day, and I'd like to honor the 22 people who lost their lives. God bless you all. Thank you so much for having me."

Beyoncé has made an appearance in a new promotional video for World Humanitarian Day.

The day commemorates humanitarian causes and those who have died working for the humanitarian greater good.

Beyoncé had recently posted a cryptic message on her website, saying: "Leave your footprint on 19th August 2012."

Puzzled fans can now put two and two together after a video was released featuring Beyoncé to promote this year's World Humanitarian Day, which takes place on August 19.

Beyoncé calls on viewers to help out other human beings on August 19, no matter how small the act may be. She said:

"On August 19th, 2012, it's high time we rise together. Do one thing for another human being. Nothing is too small. It begins with each of us. Make your mark and say 'I was here'."

The video ends with a clip of Beyonce's song 'I Was Here', which is the tagline for the campaign.
