Biffy Clyro and Slash have teamed up with the MTV EMAs to play an intimate show in Glasgow in November.

The music broadcaster is due to host their EMAs ceremony at Glasgow's Hydro arena on November 9.

However, it was confirmed today (October 29) that Biffy Clyro and Slash will play at the city's O2 Academy on November 7.

The show will be recorded for a forthcoming episode of MTV's World Stage concert series.

Tickets are only available to members of Team Biffy & Slash’s mailing lists.

Some of the acts meanwhile due to play the main EMAs ceremony include Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and Calvin Harris.

Rapper Nicki Minaj will be on hand to host the event.
