Naomi Scott has revealed her beautiful new song ‘Lover’s Lies’. The song is the first to be taken from Naomi’s new EP ‘Promises’, due for release later this year. The EP follows Naomi’s debut release ‘Invisible Division’.

Londoner Naomi, an energetic and multi talented performer, is well known for her acting credentials, having recently appeared in ‘The Martian’ with Matt Damon, and ‘The 33’ with Antonio Banderes. She also starred in the award winning independent short film ‘Hello, again’. 

It is music, however, which has always been a driving passion of Naomi’s, and ’Lover’s Lies’ showcases her sparse yet lush songwriting style, with subtle string arrangements giving way to her stirring vocal. 

Naomi said: “Lover's Lies is a song about loving someone who has been hurt. Trying to help them rediscover those feelings that they have suppressed as a result of a previous betrayal they encountered .  We used the layered harmonies coupled with rhythmic drum patterns, to invoke a coaxing hopefulness that would encourage a distressing situation to a place of renewed optimism.”

Naomi began her music career in 2009, after being discovered by Eternal’s Kelle Bryan. In the same year, she started working with pop powerhouse Xenomania, and under the leadership of Brian Higgins and Miranda Cooper, cut her teeth and perfected her songwriting craft.

Naomi released her debut EP ‘Invisible Division’ in 2014 on her own label, maintaining control over every aspect of the release. Following this, she supported Delilah on her #NoFilter UK tour, with a stunning show at London’s Union Chapel.

In 2015, Naomi’s song ’Hear The Bells’ was used for DeLeón Tequila's North American digital advertising campaign, which premiered and was frequently showcased during AMC's Mad Men. 

While filming ‘The 33’ and ‘The Martian’, Naomi has been recording new music in her own studio, and ‘Lover's Lies’ is the first song to emerge. Naomi is also currently filming the new Lionsgate reboot of ‘Power Rangers’ in which she has a starring role.
