NEW YORK’S OWN ACOUSTIC POP - ROCK BAND EAST LOVE REVEALS NEW SINGLE FROM UPCOMING EP

LISTEN TO “BETTER THAN BEING WITH YOU”

JANUARY 2016 HEADLINE SHOW @ BROOKLYN BOWL OFFICIAL CMJ ACT SLAYED WEBSTER HALL SHOWCASE

“The first acoustic guitar was brought out, winding things down but sill keeping the party going. Perfect chill vibe….Maybe it’s the fact that “love” is in their name that gave the audience that warm and fuzzy feeling. “Encore” screams irrupted as the band left…”
Brightest Young Things

“After a raucous evening of rock music, it was nice to hear something a little lighter and the vocal harmonies the boys of East Love were serving up certainly set the mood.”

(New York, NY) – Coming off of a massively successful performance at the CMJ Festival in New York City, acoustic pop-rockers East Love delight fans with the reveal of their latest single, “Better Than Being With You” exclusively via PopDose. It’s an instantly gratifying track with empowering lyrics, an infectious beat, perfectly crafted pop harmonies, and an anthemic catchy hook that will guarantee to stay in your head for days to come.

PopDose said "East Love’s track “Better Than Being With You”, which makes it’s debut right here on Popdose, sounds really darn good. The group featuring Robbie Fink, Lukas Effman, Alex Goldstein, Alex Utay, Andy Koehler and David Berliner hail from New York, and have managed to mix the acoustic sensibilities of, say, debut Mumford & Sons  with a more Eastern U.S. vibe. (so I suppose “East Love” is not so odd a band name, right?)."

“Better Than Being With You” follows East Love’s smash “Unbroken,” which PopWrapped called “a great little number to relax and reminisce to,” and raved the band is “determined to leave their own unique mark on the music world.”

The band’s debut EP is due for release early next year. The band expertly showcases their diverse musical influences, originally broadcasting their musical talents with YouTube covers like Ed Sheeran’s “Don’t” and Blackstreet’s “No Diggity”. With over 21K followers on Twitter and 32K on Instagram, East Love has already garnered a devoted following on social media. Their official music video for buzz single “Little Less” has over 30,000 views.

The band has had their nose to the grindstone playing shows at famed New York venues, The Gramercy Theatre and Rockwood Music Hall. The band recently sold out the Marlin Room at Webster Hall and was a crowd favorite at an Official CMJ Showcase. Be sure to catch East Love headlining Brooklyn Bowl on January 27th.

The multi-talented 6-some is composed of Robbie Fink, Lukas Effman, Alex Goldstein, Alex Utay, Andy Koehler and David Berliner.  The band has been honing in on their sound since Fink and Effman started playing together in 7th grade. Their experiences living along the East Coast has been the foundation and inspiration for their music. In fact, the guys consider the East Village in lower Manhattan to be the birthplace of the band. The East Village is where they share memories of jamming out with their close friend Jonny who passed away in 2013 and it is where they live now.  “‘East’ comes from a few things,” says lead singer Lukas Effman. “…We live in the East Village. Then you think of the general vibe of our music and I like to think it’s pretty warm, honest and authentic. We focus a lot on harmonies, and acoustic instruments are the bedrock of our sound. So that is where the “Love” component plays a part for me. Nothing too sappy — but more warm, positive, and real.”
