Kele Okereke responds to Bloc Party's hunt for a new singer

Kele Okereke, the former frontman of Bloc Party and now solo artist, has responded to the band's announcement that they will be holding auditions for a new singer

The three remaining members, Russell Lissack, Gordon Moakes and Matt Tong, have said that they will be making music together but want a new singer.

Okereke took to his blog on iamkele.com to respond.

His first post entitled 'You can't fire me because I quit!' had a video for Nirvana's 'Scentless Apprentice' and he wrote below:

"dont believe everything you read"

His second post deals, entitled 'oh dear', directly with the news:

"hmm, i dont know what to make of this. a big part of me is laughing on the inside but another part of me is all like WTF? im quite curious though, as to what a bloc party audition would be like? i wonder if they would let me sit on the panel so i could be a judge tyra banks style?"
