Boyzone's Shane Lynch pleased ticket demand is greater than One Direction

Boyzone star Shane Lynch has revealed his delight at seeing demand for his band's upcoming tour prove greater than the likes of One Direction and The Wanted.

As previously reported, music marketplace website Seatwave recently confirmed that demand for Boyzone's forthcoming 20th anniversary tour was 300% more than the likes of One Direction.

The veteran stars are due to hit the UK and Ireland in November and December on the BZ20 tour - and speaking to RTE, Shane Lynch thinks that despite their age, Boyzone are still going strong. He said:

"Funnily enough us old boys - I'm 36 years old - still have it. The statistics are showing Boyzone are outselling One Direction and the Wanted put together. To be back on tour with Boyzone, it's an amazing time."
