Boyzone ready for festival circuit

Boyzone are now ready for the festival circuit after kicking off their 20th anniversary tour. Speaking to The Daily Star, Shane Lynch said:

"I think any festival at this given point is territory that Boyzone can move into now - we're part of musical history now.

“We’re not young boys like One Direction with screaming girls. We’re comfortable in our own shoes and the audience at festivals are our crowd.”

Ronan Keating added:

"If they had Five on then they could have us – it would be a great craic.”

Keith Duffy commented:

“We’d love to do it as long as we could have our full band with us as a live vocal to a backing track just doesn’t cut it.

“We have a lot of the same crew who have turned down big tours like Oasis in the past just to do ours, so we have a great relationship with them all.”

Boyzone perform tonight (November 30) in London at Keating’s Emerald And Ivy ball in aid of the Marie Keating Foundation, a charity he set up in honour of his mother, who died from breast cancer in 1998.
