The pop superstar has enjoyed great success with her latest record and the footage from her most recent tour is doing just as well as the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has now named it a Platinum Music Video Longform. 

The DVD, which was released in the UK on November 21, was compiled from videos shot at her Femme Fatale tour concerts and has shifted over 100,000 copies internationally.

A 3D version of the music film is expected to go on sale early next year and the 'I Wanna Go' hitmaker has just announced her engagement to Jason Trawick, which rounds off a fantastic 12 months.

The 'Till The World Ends' superstar was given the stunning piece of jewellery when her boyfriend of 2 years, Jason Trawick, popped the question on Friday, December 16 and posed for photographs at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas on the same night. 

Writing on her official Twitter page on December 17, Spears wrote: "Still glowing! About to jump on a plane to Planet Hollywood in Vegas. Throwing a Bday Party for Jason at Chateau Night Club. So fun. Xxoo."

"Tonight was one of the most magical nights of my life. Such as amazing time with my new fiancé and our closest friends and family. #Blessed."

Speaking to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush, Trawick confirmed the pair's engagement and said that they are both "over the moon" at the news.

He said: "Yes, we are engaged. [I am] over the moon, as [is] she."

Speculation had been mounting after Spears tweeted about Trawick surprising her with a very special "gift". She had said:

"OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo."

The singer has been working flat out this year on extensive promotion and touring for her latest album, 'Femme Fatale', but plans to give herself a well-deserved break after Christmas to recover. Riccitelli, the executive vice president of promotion for RCA Records, told U.S. radio station Hot 99.5:

"She's going to take a little time off. (But) we're working on a Christina Aguilera release for later on this year, we're working on a new Usher project for later on this year, Pink is about to go back in the studio. We're excited about that."

Her hard work has paid off, too, as she has come out on top of Billboard 2011 Readers' Poll with a phenomenal 7 nods across a range of different categories. 

The superstar was named Billboard's MVP with 43% of the vote, beating modern pop icon Lady Gaga and British songstress Adele to the title. In addition to this, Spears also featured in the categories of Favourite Hot 100 No.1, Favourite Billboard 200 No.1 and Most Overrated. 

The 'Till The World Ends' hitmaker even came out on top in the Best Awards Show Performance, Best Music Video and Best Tour categories. Adele was successful in the poll too and was included in the MVP, Favourite Hot 100 No.1, Favourite Billboard 200 No.1 and Best Awards Show Performance sets. 

Lady Gaga was crowned the star with the Best Fashion and was also recognised in the Most Overrated, Best Music Video and Favourite Billboard 2011 No.1 groups. The full list of winners is available on Billboard.com. 

The singer will be taking a night off from her Femme Fatale tour to celebrate this milestone age.

2011 was a triumph for Spears with a number one album, 'Femme Fatale', under her belt and a number one hit with 'Hold It Against Me'.
