Britney Spears' Las Vegas concert series has become the year's best selling residency.

The singer opened her Piece of Me show in late December and she has only played a handful of gigs from the two-year deal so far.

However, ticket website StubHub say that sales for her dates have made the show the bestselling residency of their 2013/2014 season, beating the likes of Celine Dion, Sir Elton John and Shania Twain.

It has also become the third best selling Las Vegas residency in history, behind Dion and John.

Spears meanwhile released her latest album 'Britney Jean' in December but it only managed to reach No.34 in the UK.
