Britney Spears and Giorgio Moroder reveal '80s cover song

Britney Spears is the latest star to air a track recorded for an album by legendary disco producer Giorgio Moroder.

Whilst Moroder has already released a new track featuring Kylie Minogue, titled 'Right Here, Right Now', he has now revealed a cover version track that sees Britney Spears taking on vocal duties.

For Moroder's upcoming album, 'Deja Vu', Spears has recorded a new take on the 1980s hit 'Tom's Diner' (see video below).

'Tom's Diner' was originally written and recorded by Suzanne Vega and was released in 1987.

Speaking about how the collaboration with Spears came about, Moroder told Rolling Stone: "Britney came to my management company with the idea to do a particular song with me, which was interesting because usually it's the other way, with the producer offering a song."

'Déjà vu' is Giorgio Moroder's first album release in 30 years and will also feature the likes of Charli XCX, Kelis and Sia. The expected release date of 'Déjà Vu' is June 12.

Meanwhile, Britney Spears is prepping the release of another collaborative track in the form of 'Pretty Girls' alongside Iggy Azalea.
