Britney Spears signs deal to create gaming app

Britney Spears is set to launch her own mobile app game.

The ‘Piece of Me’ star has secured a five-year deal with game publishers Glu Mobile – the same company behind the popular ‘Kim Kardashian: Hollywood’ app.

Spears’ own mobile game is expected to launch in 2016 and will utilise her voice, likeness and creative influence.

Glu Mobile’s CEO, Niccolo De Masi, has said of his latest famous signing:

“I am thrilled to add Grammy Award-winning legend Britney Spears to Glu’s growing list of partners as we continue to expand our celebrity gaming platform.”

He added: “We anticipate the title resonating tremendously with Ms. Spears’ nearly 90 million multi-generational social followers around the world.”

Britney Spears previously ventured into the gaming world when she released her own dance-based video game, ‘Britney’s Dance Beat’, for Game Boy, Playstation 2 and PC back in 2002.
