Britney Spears says she would like to do more film.

The singer has appeared in a few flicks and TV shows over the years, but she was panned for her part in 2002 movie Crossroads.

However, Spears told E! that she would like to appear on screen more often.

The US star said: "I would love to [do more movies]. I could dream.

"I would love to be a movie star."

Spears meanwhile is due to make an appearance on TV series Jane the Virgin.

She added: "I think the writing is so simple and so endearing and it's funny!

''I started watching the show before it got really big and I was telling everyone about it. They were all like, 'What are you talking about?' and then it got really big."
