Pop icon Britney Spears recently announced that she will be making a cameo on the popular TV comedy series 'Jane The Virgin' and she has now opened up about her role on the show. 

During a fan-led Twitter Q&A last night (September 15), the 'Womanizer' sensation confessed that she can't give too much away, but can reveal that she won't be fictionalised for her guest spot: "I'm playing myself. That's all I can say!"

She was then asked if she's working on any new material at the moment and her answer delighted fans on her social media platforms. Spears told her fans that she is back in the studio, but she is in the beginning stages right now: "Yes I have been! And just loving the process. #AskBritney."

The superstar, meanwhile, has now extended her Las Vegas residency for another two years and told E! News: "I'm not ready to leave Vegas yet! And I just really really love this show and this city. I'm so proud of the show, and my band, my dancers and my crew have all become such a family to me. When it came down to me really having to make this decision, I just couldn't imagine ending my residency at the end of this year."
