Britney Spears is working on new music.

The singer, whose last album 'Britney Jean' was released in 2013, took to Instagram today (October 9) to update fans on her progress.

She posted a picture of herself alongside producer BURNS, who has previously worked with the likes of Calvin Harris.

Spears also uploaded an image of herself with fellow producer Mischke, who has Little Mix in his credits.

She added: "Making magic in the studio with @thisisburns4real yesterday."

The US star meanwhile revealed in September that her Piece of Me Las Vegas was being renewed for another two years.

The show was due to run out in December.
