Britney Spears has offered some more details about the sound of her next album.

The singer told E! that she has now been working on the record for almost two years.

She said that its sound is less "poppy" than her previous material.

Spears said: "I've been working on this project for a year and a half now, almost two years so it really means a lot to me. It's my baby.

"It's a little melodic, a little more not so poppy. It's kind of chill. Very chill."

The US star recently uploaded a series of images on Instagram from a video shoot.

She was seen standing alongside a number of topless dancers.

Spears' last album 'Britney Jean' was released in 2013.
