Britney Spears to pay tribute to Whitney Houston

Britney Spears has revealed that she will be honouring late star Whitney Houston this week.

The pop singer will be taking part in 'We Will Always Love You: A GRAMMY Salute To Whitney Houston', a special event dedicated to the memory of Houston.

It will take place at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre on Thursday (October 11) and will contain appearances from the likes of Usher and Celine Dion, as well as memorable footage from Houston's career.

Speaking about the event on Twitter, Spears said:

"I am both honoured and humbled to take part in the GRAMMY salute to Whitney Houston on Thursday... She'll always be 1 of my heroes!"

The show will be aired in the US on CBS on November 16.
