Britney Spears' trainer reveals details of her fitness routine

Britney Spears’ trainer, Tony Martinez, has revealed details of the pop superstar’s fitness routine and health regime.

Talking about the work-outs he puts his high profile clients through, Martinez said: "I like to incorporate sports like baseball or basketball into my workouts… The idea is work out smarter not harder… We will get your work done but I want you to have fun."

The fitness trainer particularly praised Britney Spears’ fitness level by saying: "She is a tremendous athlete. She likes to be very strong and aggressive in her workouts. I kept telling her to stop making it look too easy. It was like a competition with us!"

As well as guiding Britney through his fitness routines, Martinez also helped to adjust the singer’s diet to help her achieve her desired body. The ‘Toxic’ star eats five times a day and particularly enjoys chicken salads with balsamic dressing.

On the results of his work with Britney Spears, Martinez told E! Online: "She did lose weight and she has a lot more muscle. She lost a lot of body fat."

Britney is currently shaping up for a series of live shows as part of a residency in Las Vegas.
