Pop superstar Britney Spears has revealed that her forthcoming new album is like "her baby" because she has put so much time and energy into it. 

She told BBC Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw that the record, which she recently announced is called 'Britney Jean', is very special to her and she's feeling anxious about releasing it to the public on December 3:

"It's very exciting, and this album is different from any other album I've done. It's very moody and electric and different so, it's pretty cool."

"It's really nerve-racking 'cos you spend so much time on it and you've been really dedicated to this album and working with Will as co-producer has been cool. So it's like my baby coming to life."

Earlier today, Spears also told fans that after the release of this album she plans to take a little break from music for a while because she hasn't stopped working in years and is also now about to begin a Las Vegas residency.
