Britney Spears thanks fans as new album streams

Britney Spears has thanked her fans for their support after her upcoming new album began streaming online.

The US star is due to release her eighth studio collection 'Britney Jean' on December 2 in the UK and a day later in the US, but it has now gone up for preview on iTunes.

After the release went online, Spears asked her fans on Twitter for their feedback on the record - and it seems they are lapping it up.

The former X Factor USA judge responded to a number of the tweets, saying that she is glad that her fans like the album.

'Britney Jean' features a duet with with Spears' sister Jamie Lynn, as well as co-producer and long-time collaborator will.i.am.

The singer meanwhile is due to begin a two-year Las Vegas residency on December 27 at Planet Hollywood, with both hits and new tracks on the cards.
