Britney Spears has admitted her regret over the 2005 documentary series Britney & Kevin: Chaotic.

The singer starred in the show alongside then husband Kevin Federline as the program looked at their relationship and marriage.

However, she told the Telegraph that the documentary was an ill-advised career choice in hindsight. She said:

"I would never do something like that again. Actually, that was really bad. That was probably the worst thing I've done in my career."

Spears and Federline were married between 2004 and 2007.

The pop princess is currently dating David Lucado after dumping former fiancé Jason Trawick.

The former X Factor USA judge meanwhile released her eigth studio album 'Britney Jean' in the UK on December 2.

However, it only charted at No.34 on the country's albums chart.
