Calvin Harris: 'I find it easier to work with British music acts'

Speaking to the BBC at last night's BRIT Awards (February 25), Scottish DJ and producer Calvin Harris explained that he prefers working with British acts because they have the same sense of humour as him which makes for a much more comfortable creative environment:

"I find it easier to work with British people. I'm a bit of a joker and sometimes they don't quite get me. It's completely important. If anyone does a bad take, I want to be comfortable enough to tell them it was bad and they could do it better."

Harris, meanwhile, recently signed up to appear as the face of the Emporio Armani Spring/Summer 2015 campaign and a series of revealing underwear shots have now been unveiled. Back in January, the star signed a lucrative contract with Hakkasan Group that will see him perform residencies in Las Vegas 'over the next three years'.

Speaking about the residency plans, Harris explained: "I am excited to be able to play a part in this next chapter of its story. Its venues are some of the best in the world for dance music and the opportunity to be part of the wider group as it develops into other markets and sectors is a really exciting prospect for me as an artist. We have some great ideas up our sleeves."
