Celine Dion's older brother, Daniel, has died. His death comes just 48 hours after her husband and manager, René Angélil, died at age 73 from cancer.

Aged just 59, Daniel Dion had been battling brain, tongue and throat cancer, according to his sister Claudette.

A spokesperson for Dion confirmed the news to Billboard. He passed away today (January 16).

The superstar's older brother was one of eight siblings.

Celine Dion has already cancelled her January Caesars Palace live concert dates in Las Vegas. Her next show is scheduled to be next month on February 23.
