Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell have featured in a video asking wannabe singers to sign up for this year's X Factor.

The two judges have returned to the UK show this year after a number of years out of the game.

They have now released a short video in which the duo encourage viewers to audition for the series and possibly change their lives in the process.

Cole's return to the X Factor had been mooted for some time and she recently said that Cowell has been "begging" her to come back, saying:

"His begging went on for a few years, it was uncomfortable. I mean there's only so much begging one can take. It's not nice to see a grown man cry. If you'd asked me the previous two years I'd have said, 'Absolutely not'. This year it just feels right."
