Cheryl Cole is to return to the live circuit in June at Capital FM's Summertime Ball.

The singer last toured as a solo artist in 2012 to promote her album 'A Million Lights'.

However, she has been working on new material and it looks like she might be on hand to play some of it live later this year.

Cole has been confirmed for the 2014 Capital FM Summertime Ball, which is taking place at Wembley Stadium in London on June 21.

She joins other previously announced acts such as Pharrell Williams, Miley Cyrus and 5 Seconds of Summer.

Tickets for the event will go on sale at 8am UK time on Friday (May 9).
