Cheryl Cole on course to top UK singles chart

Cheryl Cole is in pole position to land her fourth solo UK No.1 single this weekend.

The singer unleashed her new effort 'Crazy Stupid Love' recently and the Official Charts Company have confirmed in their midweek update today (July 23) that it is No.1.

It is currently almost 22,000 units ahead of its nearest rival, Magic!'s 'Rude', which has rocketed up from No.50 to No.2.

At No.3 on the midweek update meanwhile is Charli XCX's new entry 'Boom Clap', whilst Ella Henderson's 'Ghost' stays put at No.4.

Completing the top five is the current No.1, Rixton's 'Me and My Broken Heart'.

Neon Jungle's 'Louder' is No.9 whilst Cher Lloyd's track 'Sirens' - which features on upcoming album 'Sorry I'm Late' - is No.29.
