Cheryl on new album: 'It's not about getting a number one record'

Cheryl has revealed that she isn't bothered about where her new album charts.

The singer is due to release her fourth album 'Only Human' on November 10.

Speaking in a new interview with Digital Spy, the Brit said that she is beginning to care less about sales.

When asked if she now feels she has less to prove, Cheryl replied:

"Completely, and honestly, it's not about getting a number one record. I mean I'm very very happy 'Crazy Stupid Love' went to number one and it did the units it did, but the intention is to just have a good record and a big part of people's lives with it. Number one...number five...it's all the same for me now.

"I'm twelve years in. I've been very fortunate to have number one records with a girl group, number one records solo. At this point it's just for the love of what I do, which is another thing that [philosopher] Alan Watts is saying - do what you love, what makes you itch, what makes you happy. Even on X Factor part of that is me helping other people do what they love and achieve their dreams, which is just as much of a buzz as me doing it for myself."

Cheryl meanwhile will release the single 'I Don't Care' on November 2.
