Cheryl calls for a ban on body-shaming: 'It's very damaging'

Singer and 'X Factor' judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has called for a ban on body-shaming because it's something that really eats away at your self-esteem.

The beauty has recently been criticised for her weight loss and told the Evening Standard that while she has a thick skin, other people may not find it as easy to brush off nasty comments so it really needs to stop:

"I can take whatever they throw at me after 13 years, what worries me is what it’s doing to the younger generation. And some of the people writing this stuff are women. There is no sisterhood. The body-shaming has to stop. It’s bulls**t. Something has to be done, changed, even if it’s done in law."

The beauty went onto add that while she has lost some weight recently, she is very healthy and content and her athletic background means that her body changes frequently: "I am very happy and very healthy. Every woman has a different body type and handles stress and grief differently. I was a ballerina from a child, so I have really good muscle memory. When I work out, I can look like a tennis player. If I don't, I look different."
