Cheryl Cole confirms duet with Rihanna

Cheryl Cole has confirmed that she is set to record a duet with Rihanna.

“When I found out she wanted to collaborate I got goosebumps all over. We’re definitely doing something together next year. I’m totally up for it,” Cole said.

And it’s not just music taste the two stars have got in common. Having recently got a new tattoo herself, the X Factor judge admires Rihanna’s artwork.

The X Factor judge said: “I love that she’s into tattoos, she’s got one on her collar bone saying ‘Never a failure always a lesson’ – that’s beautiful.”

But while she’s excited for the future, she is currently concentrating on promoting her new album, “Messy Little Raindrops”, which is out on November 1.

In reference to the unusual name choice, the 'Fight For This Love' singer said: “It’s basically a metaphor for when there’s been a heavy downpour and that sense of freshness afterwards. Everything feels cleaner, just better. I’ve had a year of heavy rainfall, of tears, now it’s sunny again and I am making a new start. I can’t wait for next year, that’s what this album reflects.”

Cole’s first single off the album, 'Promise This', charts this weekend. She will be performing it on tomorrow night's X Factor (October 24).

You can also catch the singer on tonight's episode of 'Piers Morgan's Life Stories: Cheryl Cole' on ITV1 at 10pm.
