Cheryl Cole pulls out of Children In Need Rocks concert

Cheryl Cole has been forced to pull out of her scheduled performance at this week's Children In Need Rocks event in Manchester after coming down with "pharyngitis".

The 'Promise This' singer was due to treat concert goers to a special live duet with Take That's Gary Barlow at the MEN Arena on November 17, but has now been made to cancel following a doctor's appointment this morning.

A spokesperson for Cole issued an official statement that explained her unfortunate decision:

Cheryl Cole has sadly had to pull out of a performance at CIN Rocks this week as she is suffering from pharyngitis."

Barlow opened up about his concerns for her health during last night's rehearsals and explained that her appearance seemed to be under threat: "We’re still waiting to hear but, if it doesn’t happen, I don’t know what we’re going to do."

“I might just have to get on the piano and do a bit of Roll Out The Barrel," he added.

Other acts confirmed to perform on Thursday night include Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Elbow, Ed Sheeran, N-Dubz, JLS and Michael Bublé. Watch Barlow talk about the exciting fundraising event below:
