Former X Factor judge Cole has been linked with the BBC show ever since it was revealed that her friend and mentor will.i.am was to take up a coaching role on the show.

Recent tabloid reports have stoked the gossip even more, claiming that she could even be offered a judging role on the show.

Will.i.am has done little to dispel the rumours - recently stating it would be up to her whether or not she wants to appear on the show - but a spokesperson for Cole has told the Daily Mail that there is "there is no truth" in the gossip.

Cole recently confirmed that she has completed work on her new solo album, effusing excitement over being able to show it off to the public.
