Cheryl Cole slams Louis Walsh's time as Girls Aloud manager

Cheryl Cole has slammed Louis Walsh's talents as a manager, claiming that Girls Aloud managed themselves.

The Irish music man managed the band after they left Popstars: The Rivals, but his stint with the girl group didn't last long.

Speaking to Marie Claire magazine, Cole spoke out against his performance as Girls Aloud's manager and suggested he "just took a cheque". She said:

"Louis claimed to be our manager but he never did it. We didn't talk to him or anything like that. He just took a cheque. Zero involvement...We managed ourselves. He never chose a hit. Who chose them? Us."

Cole added she and her bandmates were told to lose weight by Walsh and their crew once they left the TV talent show. She said:

"When I first got in the band I remember the first mean story I read where newspapers called us 'Pork Stars' - because the show was called Pop Stars: The Rivals. We were all fat...we were all fat! Not fat, chubby. And Louis Walsh had come out publicly and said, 'They're all fat. They all need to lose weight'. And the record label sent us all to have training."
