Cheryl Cole thanks fans after comeback single tops iTunes chart

Cheryl Cole has thanked her fans for their support after comeback single, 'Call My Name,' topped the iTunes chart within hours of its release.

The Girls Aloud star, who yesterday performed at the Capital Summertime Ball, took to Twitter to express her shock at seeing the lead track from her third studio album, 'A Million Lights,' race to pole position so quickly.

She said: “I CANT BELIEVE WHAT I AM SEEING.. How can Call My Name be no 1 on itunes and i only put it out at Midnight..

“You lot are UNBELIEVABLE.. I am RUSHINGGGG..#ISALUTE YOUUUUU.. !!!!!!!”

Produced by Calvin Harris, her first solo release since early 2011’s 'The Flood' is now expected to topple Gary Barlow & The Commonwealth Band’s ‘Sing’ in the official singles chart next week.
