Pop beauty Cheryl Cole has labelled reports in the media that she is set to wed "very corny".

Much speculation has surrounded Cole's love life since her romance with backing dancer Tre Holloway was made public last year.

Reports over the weekend suggested that the pair are set to tie the knot after Cole's father gave Holloway permission to ask his daughter to marry him.

However, Cole has taken to Twitter today (January 20) to rubbish such rumours.

"Ok.. That's enough silliness now from the media!! I am not, nor am I getting engaged or married! Stop it *Stephen A Smith voice* … … Its pretty pathetic and very corny!! (sic)"

Cole's friend and Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh spoke about the pair's relationship on The Jonathan Ross Show last night, revealing: "It's definitely a real relationship - she's known him for quite a long time. A few years ago he danced for her - the first time was years ago. He's a lovely guy, so I'm happy that he makes her happy.

She added: "I think it could definitely go the distance, they're really happy."
