British singer Cheryl Cole has pulled out of a string of promotional appearances after doctors diagnosed her with bronchitis.

The Girls Aloud star was slated to appear on Jonathan Ross' TV chat show and Radio 1's Live Lounge this week to promote her new solo track, 'Parachute'. But now both appearances have been scrapped, because Cole is reportedly suffering from a bout of bronchitis.

Cole's illness comes just weeks after she announced her split from soccer ace husband Ashley Cole last month in February. Their marriage was rocked by allegations that the high-earning sports star had cheated on her with five women.
