Songstress Cheryl Cole has revealed that she's 'heartbroken' after discovering that her beloved pet dog, Kiera, has cancer.

The beauty shared a snapshot of the pooch on her official Instagram page (pictured below) and accompanied it with an emotional message that read:

"This is my dog Kiera. I have had her since she was 2 months and I was 16. Tomorrow she has radiotherapy and will be in doggy hospital for 2-3weeks :( will u help me send her happy vibes and pray for her with me please ? She's my oldest baby and its breaking my heart."

Cole has 4 dogs and back in 2009 she told the press that "I've come to the conclusion that I don't trust anybody in life except my mother and my dogs."

This is only the 'Promise This' hitmaker's second post on the photo sharing application and her first was a telling image of a microphone in a studio, which she teased with the sentence: "Back with my first true love."
