Chris Brown scores first UK number one

Chris Brown has today scored his first ever UK chart-topper with ‘Turn Up The Music.’

The lead single from his forthcoming fifth studio album, ‘Fortune,’ comfortably outsold Sean Paul’s ‘She Doesn’t Mind’ and Nicki Minaj’s ‘Starships’ to eclipse the number two peak of his previous highest charting single, ‘Run It,’ in 2005.

Last week’s number one, Katy Perry’s ‘Part Of Me,’ and Gotye’s ‘Everybody That I Used To Know’ made up the rest of the Top Five, with Plan B’s protest single, ‘iLL Manors,’ the only other Top 10 new entry at number six.

Elsewhere, there were debuts for Olly Murs’ ‘Oh My Goodness’ (No.28), The Vaccines' 'If You Wanna' (No.35), and B. Traits feat. Elisabeth Troy’s 'Fever' (No.36), and climbs for Azealia Banks’ '212' (No.14), LMFAO's 'Sorry For Party Rocking' (No.23) and Rihanna's 'Talk That Talk' (No.25).
