Chris Brown was arrested this morning (October 27) in Washington D.C. for felony assault.

Brown became involved in an altercation with a man outside of the W Hotel.

Law enforcements have told TMZ that Brown punched the other man and did not appear to be under the influence of any substances at the time of the attack, which took place at around 4:30am.

The 24-year-old R&B singer was taken into police custody whilst the unnamed victim was taken to hospital for assessment. It is yet to be announced whether any serious injuries were sustained.

Chris Brown is currently on probation in relation to his 2009 attack on former girlfriend Rihanna.
