TWICKETS TO BECOME OFFICIAL . . .

TICKET RESALE PARTNER FOR MUMFORD & SONS’ FESTIVAL

Ethical fan to fan ticket marketplace Twickets has been announced as the official ticket resale partner for Mumford & Sons’ forthcoming Gentlemen Of The Road Stopover festival in Lewes on 19th and 20th July ’13 and will facilitate the exchange of tickets that have been purchased from Music Glue, the primary ticketing company.

Twickets is a simple fan-to-fan ticket exchange mechanism that allows event goers to swap spare tickets for no more than face value.  Twickets is designed to help ensure empty seats are filled, without having to utilise expensive secondary ticketing channels.  The service now has over 100,000 users across all platforms.

Any fan who has purchased a ticket but can’t make the festival can exchange their ticket for face value or less via TwicketsTwickets can be found on Twitter (@twickets or #twickets) or fans can download the Twickets app for free on iPhone (http://bit.ly/10MxgrM) or Android phone (http://bit.ly/Z33jXd).

Gentlemen Of The Road Stopovers are festivals curated by Mumford & Sons.  The first GOTR Stopover of 2013 takes place in Lewes on the 19th and 20th July, and features Mumford & Sons, Vampire Weekend, The Vaccines, British Sea Power, White Denim, Mystery Jets, Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros, Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit, Youth Lagoon, Deap Vally, Bear’s Den and The Very Best Soundsystem.

Says Mumford & Sons' manager Adam Tudhope from Everybody’s Management: “We do what we can to keep tickets out of the hands of scalpers and away from secondary ticket sites. What we don't want to do is stop legitimate fans legitimately selling their ticket at face value to another fan if they can't make the gig for whatever reason. Using Twickets for our Lewes Stopover is our first foray into finding a suitable way for fans with tickets to find fans who need tickets. Let us know what you think."
