Coldplay on Beyoncé being the centrepiece of their album

Hitmakers Coldplay are gearing up to release their new album 'A Head Full Of Dreams' and they recruited Beyoncé to record vocals on one of the included tracks.

He explained to Ryan Seacrest that the superstar features on a song called 'Hymn for the Weekend'

“We said, ‘We have this song that sounds really good, is there any chance you can come in and make it sound brilliant? Can you lend us a little bit of your excellence?’"

"That’s one of my favourites, one of the centrepieces of the [album]. A lot of other songs were written around that.”

He went onto add that 'A Headful Of Dreams' is something he and the other bandmates are proud of: "We’re making an album that we’re really excited about. It feels like the finale of a certain story, the closing chapter of a story, the party scene, or the end of a movie. We feel like we’ve been trying to get to this for ages. That’s how I always wanted us to sound."

“That doesn’t mean it’s the end of the band. We’re going to stay in this world for awhile. Who knows, but right now I’m so grateful to be right here with these songs, with this particular band at this time.”
