Coldplay will be one of this year's Glastonbury Festival headliners.

The band will perform on the Pyramid Stage on the Sunday (June 26).

The group confirmed the news today (February 16) on Twitter.

They posted an image of the festival's fields with the bones of the Pyramid Stage.

A sign features in the picture that states the date.

Coldplay are on a high after performing the coveted half-time slot at this year's Super Bowl event.

The Brits brought out guests Beyoncé and Bruno Mars for the gig.

The band then reached No.1 on the UK albums chart with their 2015 record 'A Head Full Of Dreams'.
