Watch Chris Martin perform Prince song with teenagersColdplay star Chris Martin paid tribute to late music icon Prince by performing one of his tracks at a charity gig in Santa Monica. The singer ran through 'Raspberry Beret' with A-Side, a band of 14-15 year olds from the Crossroads School, on Monday (April 25). The gig was taking place as part of Chords 2 Cure, which is raising money for paediatric cancer research. Martin said: "Yesterday I said, ‘Let’s do this song. It’s a very famous Prince song. "And they said, ‘We don’t know it. We’ve never heard of it. We’re like 14'." The group also performed Coldplay's 'Twisted Logic' - the first time Martin has played the track live. As previously reported, Prince died on Thursday (April 21) after being found unresponsive at Paisley Park in Minnesota.
