British rock band Coldplay have achieved an amazing sales milestone with their studio album 'Mylo Xyloto'. 

The British Phonographic Industry confirmed the exciting news this afternoon (June 17) and explained that the record has been certified five times Platinum, which means that it has shifted over 1500000 copies since its release.

A tweet from the BPI read:

"Congratulations to the incredible @coldplay whose album ‘Mylo Xyloto’ has just reached 5x Platinum! #bpiawards."

Coldplay, meanwhile, will perform at Glastonbury over the weekend of June 25 and, from there, the band will host a concert at Kensington Palace in London on June 28, which will benefit Prince Harry's Sentebale charity.
