Chris Martin entertained the audience on Conan last night (October 27), by singing Coldplay's hit song ‘Yellow’ in a fake cockney accent.

The frontman was a guest on the US late night show, where he discussed his musical theatre past. He surprisedly admitted that he once appeared as a student in the popular British musical My Fair Lady, but was told at the time that he couldn't sing. 

The show's host, Conan O'Brien, took the opportunity to tell Martin that he's actually a big fan of the English cockney accent. He then passed Martin a flat cap to wear and the two proceeded to sing a mockney version of 'Yellow’.

Coldplay released their album, 'A Head Full Of Dreams,' last December. It reached No.1 in the UK and has sold over four million copies to date. Singles off the album have been ‘Adventure Of A Lifetime’, ‘Hymn For The Weekend’ and ‘Up&Up’.

The rock quartet are set to tour the UK, Europe and North America in 2017.
