Coldplay pay tribute to Amy WinehouseColdplay paid tribute to the late Amy Winehouse during their recent performance at Splendour In The Grass festival in Australia with a musical dedication. The band used the opening bars of their well-loved track 'Fix You' to tease the chorus of Winehouse's famous song, 'Rehab', which had the entire crowd singing back at them. A message posted on the band's official website explained that her death was a "sad waste" and they felt it was necessary to acknowledge her fantastic talent: "Later, 'Fix You' brought us from the celebration of birth to the acknowledgement of a tragic death. There’s little that can be said about Amy Winehouse’s passing that hasn’t already been said. It’s just such a sad waste. We’ll leave aside the awful irony and just let the Aussie choir sing."
