Coldplay's 'Xylobands' designed by sex toy inventor

Coldplay have revealed that their exciting 'Xylobands' were designed by a sex toy inventor.

The 'Paradise' superstars have introduced wristbands, which will be given to each ticket holder throughout their Mylo Xyloto tour, that glow in a variety of colours during different points in their set but Chris Martin reveals the items were the brainchild of a man named Jason Regler:

"There's a guy called Jason who likes Coldplay. He used to make mobile phone vibrating sex toys. Basically he's an inventor. I think he came to Glastonbury this summer and he had an idea while we were playing to make these glowband things."

Martin added to XFM that Regler simply contacted the band and pitched the creative idea:

"He contacted us and said, 'What do you think?' And we said, 'It sounds like the best idea ever'... and now we have them for every person who has a ticket."
