Coldplay record named favourite album of all time by Radio 2 listeners

Coldplay's 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head' has been chosen by BBC Radio 2 listeners as their favourite ever album.

The UK radio station recently ran a poll to find the nation's most loved album and Coldplay's second record reigned supreme when the results were announced on Monday (April 1).

In second place on the list was Keane's 'Hopes and Fears' whilst Duran Duran's 1984 effort 'Rio' secured third place.

Completing the top five were Pink Floyd's seminal 'Dark Side Of The Moon' and Dido's 1999 debut 'No Angel'.

Other notable entries on the list's top ten include The Beatles' 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' at No.8 and Queen's 'A Night At The Opera', which was placed at No.10.
