Rupert Stroud has again teamed up with producer Will Jackson (Kaiser Chiefs, Embrace) on his new single ‘The One’. Together they have produced a powerful, electric sound oozing with the Northern passion, heartfelt melodies and sweeping chorus’s the Yorkshire man does so well.

‘The One’ was written and inspired by the love for someone special, someone who has touched your soul in an unexpected and unique way leaving distinctive memories that stay with you forever.

Rupert explains ‘Much of the inspiration for the song came from the love I feel for my brothers little boy who is just two years old. I feel incredibly lucky to have him in my life and the love I feel for him is quite overwhelming sometimes and has really taken me by surprise. I am his uncle but also his guardian. I think it is best if people listen to the song and relate to it in their own way, it can mean whatever you want it to mean really but I suppose ultimately it is about love.’

No stranger to radio support across the board from 6Music, Radio2 and Radio X the songster delivers his most accomplished production yet.
