Dappy has revealed that he reckons he is better "musically and lyrically" than British heavyweights Tinie Tempah and Example.

In an interview with FHM, Dappy likened himself to a UK version of Lil Wayne - and shrugged off competition from the likes of Tempah and Example.

He also states that he will be a "superstar" now that N-Dubz are on a break and he is doing his own thing. He said:

"Now I am just getting started. I am going to be a superstar and this time it's all about me. I am the UK version of Lil Wayne. Yeah, you've got Example and Tinie on the scene, but I am better than that. I am spontaneous and people want to look like me. Am I better than Tinie and Example? Musically, lyrically - hell yeah!"

He also spoke of his live shows, claiming that there are at least five "criers" at every one of his gigs as "Dappymania" takes hold of the country. He added:

"There really is Dappymania. People have tattoos of my face on their backs. There are people crying. Every day of the tour I have seen at least five criers."
