David Bowie to debut new video and songs

David Bowie has confirmed plans to release a new remix video and a trio of fresh songs this week.

The veteran will unleash a 10-minute reworking of his 'The Next Day' track 'Love Is Lost' at the Mercury Prize ceremony on Wednesday (October 30).

It has been remixed by LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and its visuals will be debuted during the ceremony's TV broadcast, with the audio due to land soon.

The singer is also due to mine his upcoming 'The Next Day' re-issue as he premieres three bonus tracks on UK radio the same day as the Mercury Prize.

Lauren Laverne will play 'Atomica' on BBC 6 Music at 10:50am whilst Ken Bruce will debut 'Born in a UFO' on Radio 2 at 11.30am. Geoff Lloyd will round things off with 'Like A Rocket Man' on Absolute Radio at 6.45pm.

'The Next Day' is nominated for this year's Mercury Prize and 'The Next Day Extra' is due to be released on November 4.

Bowie meanwhile was recently nominated for six categories at this year's Q Awards, but he failed to win any.
