David Guetta: "I hate my songs"

Superstar DJ-and-producer David Guetta gets to a point where he "hates" his own records.

The French star is renowned for collaborating with the biggest names in the music industry -including Usher, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj - and although his singles always garner critical acclaim, Guetta says he sometimes falls out of love with his tracks.

45-year-old Guetta admits he doesn't feel that was about his newest release 'Just One Last Time'.

He told BBC Radio 1: “I love my new single! It’s funny ‘cause normally there is a point where I’m like, ‘Oh, I hate this so much,' but I’m not in that zone, I’m like, ‘Yeah!’ I love it!”

Guetta has worked with Swedish duo Taped Rai on his latest offering, and says working with relative unknowns in the industry gives him a big buzz.

He explained: “It’s a new artist that’s singing, it’s the first time they’re on a record. I just produced some of Rihanna’s album... and as much as it’s amazing to work with big superstars, it’s amazing to see new talent."

After a hugely successful year, Guetta is looking forward to chilling out with his loved ones over the festive period.

He smiled: “It is a very relaxed time for once and I’m really enjoying it and trying to stay with my family for Christmas."
